Marsden Wheelers Race report from Sat 11th October

13th October 2008

Today’s race was held under windy and rainy conditions with the long course of 35km being split into a fast and not so fast group wile the younger juniors , rode with Ruth and Jim for 10km

In the long course the first hill split the pack with Lee and Ben heading up the road with Jonathan, Barry and Matthew behind. The groups stayed the same till the end until Barry had an unfortunate puncture around the half way mark. In the end Lee out sprinted Ben, around 3 minutes later Jonathan crossed the line. A good minute after that Matthew crossed.

In the other long course race, like the faster group the first hill would split up the pack with Tim and Bryce breaking away. Later Tim would drop Bryce to lead in that group in comfortable solo.

In the 10km junior ride Ben rode away with Jim 7 seconds behind. A big well done to Rachyl for her first club ride.
