Hi everyone
Such an amazing day today, i got 6th in the Time Trial behind Australia in 5th, i was certainly extremely happy with my build up and ride. Check out the pics of about half way up the hill and a shot on the way down into town.
The British winner is just unmatchable, our tandem boys are hoping to beat her time tomorrow.
I had 2 laps of a very tricky course, my second lap was only 30 secs longer in time than the first even if i was hyperventilating on the second time up the big climb.
I was so exhausted it took about 3 hours for my light head to go away, i had a good massage and a ice bath, ouch! i didn’t realize how that hurts, everyone else’s turn tomorrow.
The two handcyclist raced today also, one lap, Sue got a bronze, she has come so far since i saw her last year in Te Aroha on a crusty old handcycle, i knew she would be competitive today. Tiffany did great too and had a heap of fun, smiling at the finish.
Tomorrow i’m not allowed back to the venue but have a recovery ride before my road race on Saturday afternoon.
Unfortunately no one took any photo’s of me today, boo hoo, but i was there and i did do it!
